Your Decision to move
Your first and most important decision when considering buying or selling a home is your decision to move.
Why do you want to move?
Are you considering a new neighborhood . . . need more space . . . . less space . . . moving out of state?
What is your motivation?
We mention this FIRST because moving (buying a house) is potentially one of the MOST STRESSFUL things you will ever do – your commitment is crucial.
Before you leap, we have some tools for you to help you determine your commitment.
Visit THIS Page for some great "Mindset" building
We recommend that you spend some time with this exercise we have labeled “Your Intentions and Desires.” This exercise will help you define not only your purpose for moving but also will more clearly define for you (and for us as your real estate consultants) your “Ultimate Scenario” – that is, what would be your IDEAL outcome from this process? Only when we have a clear picture of where you want to be can we help you get there.
Often, folks achieve “commitment to moving” in different ways. Through our several years of consulting with Real Estate clients, we have developed a philosophy – a way of conducting our profession. We hope you will take a few minutes to learn a bit about our philosophy.
We believe that each person approaches such a major life decision from a unique position, and so we are very careful NOT to “categorize” our clients. We do not wish to cram you into a box that might not fit. Our philosophy is to consult with you and help you determine where you are and to meet you there . . . and then to help you along your way until you end up with as close to perfect as possible. A few symptoms seem to happen to every person considering buying a house:
The Reticular Activator activates
Obsessive driving through neighborhoods
And finally, admitting your wish to move to Friends and family
